Veniziano, Shmuel (Franco)
Son of Roza and Jacomo, was born on June 11, 1926, in Rome, the capital of Italy. He graduated from an elementary school, studied tailoring (finished a government tailoring school), but did not work there, because he aspired to work in the country. He joined the He – Chaluts movement in Italy and underwent lengthy training at the “Negev” training facility near Rome. In 1946 he was forced to stop her and return to the city, to help his parents support the family, and as an experienced worker, he contributed to the household. The possibility of immigrating to Israel seemed distant again, until the outbreak of the War of Independence and his Lev did not allow him to remain far away. He joined the family of the religious group Sde Eliyahu, and served in the “Negev” Brigade after completing a training period. Yoav was killed on October 16, 1948. He was taken to a military hospital where he was tortured for another two months, but all attempts to save him failed: Franco-Shmuel died of his wounds on the 19th of Kislev 5709 (21.12.1948) and was put to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
