Vardi Yair


Son of Yaakov and Trude. He was born on November 6, 1946 in Kibbutz Heftzi-Bah. He graduated from elementary school and high school in Harod. At a young age he showed signs of physical and social development. Was healthy and strong in his body, and his desire for truth in conscience proved that the soul within him was healthy and complete; The fact that he participated in all the social events of his classmates was proof of that. At the end of the school he entered the labor market and joined them. It was nice to share responsibility for his work. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1964 and after the basic training period he was transferred from there to the Paratroopers Brigade, which he admired and loved.In recognition of his military duty and his personal will, Yair fulfilled all the duties imposed on him and yet did not stop waiting for the day he returned to the agriculture, In the beginning of the period of tension and preparedness which, prior to the Six-Day War, was released from the IDF, but upon the outbreak of the war was called again for the flag, but it continued for only one day because it fell in a battle that took place at Umm Katef in Sinai on 27 Iyar 5727 June 6, 1967), is the second day of the battles. He was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and later transferred to the cemetery in his kibbutz. A booklet in his memory bearing his name was published.
