Vahava, Moses


Son of Maatok and Rebecca. He was born on July 24, 1956, in Tel Aviv. He completed his elementary studies at the Akiva school in Daughter of-Yam. He then completed three years of study at the Ort vocational school in Tel Aviv, where he studied car mechanics. Until his enlistment in the IDF, Moshe worked for two and a half years in his profession, as a car mechanic, in a private car garage, and later in the Tel Aviv municipality garage. After basic training, he completed a mortar training course with medium-sized mortars and completed successfully. Moshe was proud to be among the Golani fighters. On November 20, 1975, after a day of training, Moshe was injured when his vehicle overturned in the Jordan Valley and fell in the line of duty. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “… Moshe was an outstanding soldier in his company, quiet, honest, humble and diligent, admired for his comrades and responsible for his commanders. Moshe is very good. ” His parents donated a Torah scroll to his memory.
