Vagler, Shmuel-Amnon


Son of Alfred and Esther. He was born on May 22, 1949 in Rehovot. When he was five, his family moved to Tel Aviv. He studied at the Hess elementary school and the municipal high school in Bet-Eliahu. He was active in the social life of the school and in 1966 he was elected as a member of his school delegation, which traveled to southern Italy, Spain and France. Was drafted into the IDF in August 1967 and volunteered to serve in the Israel Air Force, where he spent ten months in a pilot course and then continued to serve in the Sinai. Art, or the art of scientific photography, on the one hand he admired Florentz, Italy, for his art treasures, especially Michelangelo’s works, while on the other hand he loved the art of photography and came to a collection of thousands of photographs of landscapes and replicas in Israel and abroad. Weeks before he was released from regular service, he was wounded at the time of Mill He died three days later, on the 11th of Sivan 5706 (June 15, 1970), died of his wounds and was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery.
