Vadkavota, Isaac
Son of Simcha and Eliahu, was born on 29.1.1960 in Be’er Sheva. Yitzhak studied at the Karo Elementary School in Be’er Sheva for four years, moved to the Bnei Akiva yeshiva in his hometown, and spent the last three years at the comprehensive high school in biology. He was an outstanding student and skipped the tenth grade. In February 1978, Yitzhak enlisted in the IDF and served in the Infantry Corps, where he underwent basic training and completed professional training, and was promoted to Corporal in January 1979. On June 24, 1980, Yitzhak and his unit carried out a nightly maneuver in the Sea of Galilee, where one of the rubber boats, who had participated in the maneuvers, turned to the side and turned over and a group of soldiers fell into the water. But Yitzhak was not returned and his body was gone 10 days later, when he was 20 years old, and he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving behind a mother and two brothers.
