David, son of Rachel and Albert, was born in 1940 in Malia, Spain, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. He studied in an elementary school in Spain and in the “Bibas” Talmud Torah in Tiberias, and later went on to study at Yeshivat Or HaTorah, near the grave of Rabbi Meir Baal Haness in Tiberias. When David’s family immigrated to Israel, she was first housed in the transit camp. According to his teacher, David was a diligent, intelligent, quiet and disciplined student. He was a member of the “Beitar” movement in Tiberias and he was active in the movement and participated in many activities, and his friends and mentors loved him. After that he also worked in a polytheist, and David was interested in planning furniture and doing fine woodwork, and eventually studied interior design, and he was humble and very modest in his manner and self-contained, with peace of mind, nobility and gentleness, An atmosphere of pleasantness and calm, yet he was lively and lively in his thoughts and actions, David was honest, responsible and devoted By nature, he was kind and sensitive and helped others sincerely and willingly, and thus gained many friends. David was drafted into the IDF in early February 1958 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After basic training and after completing his course in the “Sherman” tank course, he was placed as a tank loader in the Armored Corps and excelled in his position. After completing his regular service, he was assigned to reserve duty as a liaison officer in the Armored Corps, where he served until his last day, after the liberation. He worked as an independent in the “Barak” furniture factory and in the last year and a half of his life he worked as a production coordinator in the Golan furniture factory at Kibbutz Sha’ar Hagolan, and he was very dedicated to his work and excelled in his knowledge and ability. “In his home, too, he saw the work of his diligent hands in the furniture he built himself He took part in the conquest of Jerusalem and later fought in the Golan Heights, and according to his commander, On the eve of Yom Kippur, David was called to his unit, which was sent to participate in blocking the Syrians on the Golan Heights. In the battle that took place on the 7th of Tishrei 5740 (7.10.1973), in El-Al near the Hoshenia junction, David was hit and killed by a direct hit on his tank. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Tiberias. He left behind a wife, two daughters and two sons, parents, five sisters and two brothers. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant.
