Aharon (Araleh) was born in the village of Hess in the Sharon region on the 20th of Tishrei, on the eve of Simchat Torah 5712 (20.10.1951), brother of Sarah and Eliezer, son of Holocaust survivors who ran a farm in Kfar Hess and lived with their three children in a small agency. Hess, studied at the elementary school in Tel Mond and at the Ruppin High School in Emek Hefer. As a student of the Araleh school, he was known as a good student but also a mischievous boy. He was involved in many pranks, in the village and at school. In his youth he belonged to the youth movement of the moshavim. It was already clear then, according to the family, that Araleh would continue his parents’ path in the moshav. In November 1969, Araleh joined the IDF, served in the Artillery Corps, completed a communications course and served in the Golan Heights Brigade, and in 1971 he completed his officers’ course and served in the Sinai, . In October 1973, during the Yom Kippur War, Araleh fought as a reserve officer in an artillery battalion in the Golan Heights, and since then served in the reserves every year, advanced in positions, and was promoted to the rank of rabbi -Seran became commander of the artillery battalion. At the end of his reserve duty, Araleh volunteered to serve for two more years, and served in the Ugda Operations Center in August 1977, when he was twenty-six years old, when Araleh married Pnina, and their three children, Matan, Shani and Eran, He was a devoted father, a true friend – always willing to help as much as possible. With an extraordinary sense of humor, and with his children he developed a true friendship, knowing that their father was a friend, and that he could be approached at any time, He also raised and improved turkeys, potatoes, peanuts and tomatoes, and he also had orchards and lolls, and in the last years of his life he focused mainly on the flower industry for export and the Indian branch of the fattening. He was very active in the village and was a member of the various committees (culture, economy and security), was a member and chairman of the board of directors of the moshav, a coordinator of foreign workers, and more. In the Lev HaSharon Regional Council, Araleh was a plenum member, coordinator of the agricultural committee and a Labor Party activist on behalf of the moshav district – a party delegate. Araleh was a man of many verbs and hobbies. In his youth he collected stamps. When he grew up, he loved drama and was a member of the drama club of the regional council. He liked to participate in the various performances and plays, whether in the moshav or outside. He was very fond of nature and landscape, and often went on trips, to see movies in the cinema, and mainly – to spend time with family and children. On Sunday evening, 11 November 2001, Araleh was summoned from his home by a resident of Kfar Hess to examine a suspicious person who appeared to be walking around the entrance to the moshav, and Araleh was the town’s security coordinator, He immediately invested himself in the area and began his search, and suddenly a Palestinian terrorist emerged from the bushes and fired at Araleh, who was traveling in his car.
