Tzuradker, Zion
Son of Aliza and Pesach. He was born in India on the 2nd of Tishrei 5715 (October 2, 1954), a third son of a family of six and attended elementary school in India and immigrated to Israel with his family for fifteen years and settled in Petah Tikva, He worked in a factory near his home in September 1973. He completed a basic training course in Hebrew and served as a security guard in the regional defense force and later as a courier from the base to a post distribution base. He received the Yom Kippur War as a sign of his participation in the war and was released in October 1976 From the IDF and began working as an aircraft mechanic at Israel Aircraft Industries. In April 1979, Zion married Simcha and together they built their home in Kiryat Gat, where their four children were born. From time to time Zion was called to reserve duty in an air force security unit. Zion became fond of those around him and engaged in his free time in music and singing and thus made friends all over the country. In March 1987, IAI decided to promote Zion to the position of department head, following the reserve service called for him that month. During his reserve service, his fourth daughter, Ortal, was born. On 13 March 1987, during his service, he suffered a Lev attack. He was thirty-three years old when he fell. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Gat. Survived by Raya – Simha, two sons – Avishai and Yaniv, two daughters – Edna and Ortal, parents and five brothers – Solomon, Yonatan, Rahamim, Ivan, and Elisha. His brother Jonathan suffered from depression after the death of Zion and five years later died of a heartbreak.
