Yitzhak was an enthusiastic and devoted soldier to the IDF and volunteered for every operational action, and he was eager to contribute as much as he could, and many waited for the day to receive his first platoon, his recruits, and often said that he would help them with their absorption and take care of them. His commanding officer told me that Yitzhak had turned to him several times with a request to move him to a more combat unit and was not restless until he was authorized to take part in patrols in the Golan Heights. One of his men was attacked from the ambush, and on the Golan Heights he embarked on the last operation He was a devoted friend who was always ready to sacrifice himself for the sake of the other, and when he went on a tour he said that if he encountered the enemy he would jump straight to the machine gun and cover up Yitzhak, who was sitting guard in the command post, got on the APC, grabbed the machine gun, ordered his men to jump out of the car and take cover, and he himself stood exposed and looked at them until he was hit by the shrapnel of a bazooka bomb. On May 6, 1970, Lieutenant Yitzhak was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa, and the commander of the unit wrote in a letter of condolence to the bereaved parents: “Your dear son all of us gave his life for the defense of the homeland, , When he ordered his men to jump out of the vehicle, and he himself burned them with fire until he was hit and fell.
