Tzoref, Yair


Yair, son of Marcel and Yechezkel, was born on December 6, 1951. Yair was drafted into the IDF in early November 1970 and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade After completing basic training he was assigned to a paratroopers ‘training course and later completed a combat paramedics course and was sent to serve as a paramedic in the paratroopers’ After completing his training course for senior medics, he was awarded the rank of sergeant, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant-sergeant during the period of his regular service, and gave his friends a true friendship and true love. In the Yom Kippur War, a unit participated In heavy fighting to stop the Egyptian army in Sinai and the battles that preceded the crossing of the Suez Canal by the IDF. In the harsh and cruel battle of the “Chinese farm” on October 17, 1973, Yair was injured and killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister. After his fall, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
