Tzoref (Saig), Meir (Fadel)
Son of Moshe and Lila. He was born in Mosul, Iraq, on June 5, 1920. He completed his studies there at the “Kol Israel Haverim” elementary school, and then studied for two years in the “Elmatana” High School. Before joining the Land of Israel, he was a goldsmith, and after his cost with his family he found his bread in the hands of the needy and in August 1952 he was drafted into the IDF. He participated in the Sinai Campaign and fell in one of the battles that took place on the 26th of Mershvan 5710 (October 31, 1956). He was buried in the Military Cemetery of the Emergency Army in Shelah and on the 12th of Mershvan 5718 (6.11.1957) he was taken to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left a wife and four children.
