Was admired and accepted by his commanders and friends alike. “In another letter of condolence, the unit’s commander, Captain Yair Barkat, wrote:” Yaron treated the unit’s soldiers with devotion, his fighting comrades were the most important thing to him. Human relations, dedication to work, self-discipline and special personality radiated on all the company members who loved Yaron very much and knew that he would always take care of them and try to do whatever they wanted. “Yaron’s parents commemorated their son on a Torah scroll they purchased for this purpose, and this book will be transferred to the synagogue that will be built in Tel Aviv and will commemorate the seventy-three fallen soldiers who died in the helicopter disaster.
