Tzarfaty, Solomon
Son of Hanna and Aaron. Born in 1916 in Salonika, Greece, he attended a Jewish school there in September 1935. After his wife immigrated to Palestine with his parents, his wife remained in Greece because she did not receive a passport and joined him in February 1936. In 1937 he moved to Tel Aviv where he worked in the port, and in February 1941 he enlisted in the British Army Corps of Engineers, and during his service he was captured by the Germans, and Shlomo was killed in an attempt to flee the captivity on the first of Tishrei 5702 (October 1, 1941). He left a wife and two sons. His burial place is unknown. An investigation conducted in 2017 found that he was murdered at ATHENS MEMORIAL, Athens, Greece.
