Ben Sol and Yomtov. He was born on October 10, 1939 in Istanbul, Turkey. In 1949, at the age of nine, he immigrated with his family to Israel. He passed through the difficult stages of absorption in the absorption camps of Shaar HaAliyah, Pardes Hanna and Be’er Yaakov. The parents found it difficult to acclimatize and at the end of the road they reached a permanent residence in Rishon Letzion. Sasson began his studies at the Remez elementary school and continued them in evening studies at Habib High School. In the day he worked and helped to support the family, and in the evening he learned a profession, auto mechanics. In addition, he joined the activities of Hanoar Haoved. He was involved in sports, especially swimming, and every year he participated in the crossing of the Sea of Galilee. In early August 1958 he joined the IDF, completed his basic training course, and went to the mechanics course, where he earned a number of certificates of appreciation, and his contribution to streamlining and saving the military system in various fields. In his reserve service, the battalion commander approached him and urged him to return to regular army service, and he accepted the request and signed his return to the army, and he devoted himself to his work in the army, a job that became his great love. In his roles and success, he was welcomed by his family When he had two sons and a daughter, Yomi, Yaniv and Dina, he underwent professional training in the IDF and participated in the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War. During his last service, he discovered a serious illness. He fought valiantly until his dying day. On May 19, 1991, Sasson was taken to the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion and left behind a wife, two sons, a daughter, two parents and two brothers. This day symbolizes his family’s love and devotion to the IDF.
