Tzarfaty, Eyal


Son of the Elders of Geula and Isaac, brother of Rachela and Sherry. He was born on July 12, 1971 in Jerusalem. The expectation of her son and brother was great, like the risk the mother took in bringing him into the world. And when Eyal came to the world he brought with him great love and hope for all the members of the household. Eyal studied at the Masada elementary school and at the high school in Denmark, in fine mechanics. He divided his time between his loves and hobbies, which focused mainly on pets, stamp collecting and painting. From an early age, he loved drawing and was chosen to study painting at the Israel Museum. At the age of seventeen, he studied painting on silk. His paintings were beautiful. Eyal was drafted into the IDF in October 1989. He was highly respected by his commanders, his manner of service as a soldier, his thoroughness in his work and his service, After a few days’ safekeeping in Moshav Peca’el, the injury was severe, and on the following day, 1 Adar 572 (February 26, 1990), Eyal died and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. Survived by his parents and two sisters. At a class meeting on April 27, 1991, his classmates and teachers commemorated him in an exhibition of his own paintings, and during that week the teachers and the students talked about the exhibition. “When he left, he left a void in the heart of the family and in the hearts of his friends.
