Tzadok, Shimon

Shimon, son of Naomi and Yehia Tzadok, was born in 1920 in Jerusalem. He was a member of the Haganah from 1936 and participated regularly in training. Between 1945 and 1947 he served as a patrolman around Jerusalem. In the winter of 1948, when the War of Independence broke out, Shimon enlisted in full service in the Hagana. According to the assumption of his deputy commander in the Gush bloc, he blew himself up with the remains of the weapons of Kfar Etzion on the day of the fall of Kfar Etzion, on the 4th of Iyar (13.5.1948). Shimon was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
