Tzadok, Raphael
Son of Hodad and Esther. His father is a well-known family of sages and has a significant lineage in his city. Was a cantor of the city. Raphael was born on December 5, 1941 in the city of Isfahan which is in Persia. He studied at the Alliance school in his hometown and at his parents’ home, learned to read and write fluent Hebrew, as is customary in the Jewish home in Persia. In 1958 he immigrated to Israel, together with his grandmother (mother-mother) who raised him. He found his fortunes. In May 1961 he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Artillery Corps, and after a while he was released from the army due to his support for his sick grandmother, who could not have been without him because of his weak physical condition. And the entire battery continued to fire when Zadok was doing his job – preparing the shells and submitting them – it was on the first day of the battles, on the 6th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), and next to his scepter, Fire to the enemy shell, Zadok fell: It was in Nir Elijah, and he left a wife and two young children. In the booklet “The Sharon Bloc in the Six Day War”, which was issued by the command of his brigade, was commemorated by the printing of his photograph .
