Tzadok, Benjamin (“Benny”)


Son of Shalom and Rachel. He was born on April 20, 1938 in Jerusalem. He completed his studies at the “Ibn Yehoshua” elementary school and later took English courses at the Berlitz School. After working in the hotel industry, he worked at the King David Hotel. He was drafted into the IDF in January 1960. After his discharge, he went on reserve duty and on December 3, 1967 he fell while serving in the Kalya-A-Feshcha road. He left a wife and three children, the youngest of whom was only a few months old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His commander wrote in his letter of condolence to his wife, in his name and in the name of all the commanders and soldiers of the unit: “Upon his death, one of the best soldiers was lost to the unit, and he was loyal and loyal to his unit. These qualities, which are the best qualities one can expect from a soldier, were most conspicuous in the days of alert before the Six-Day War and during the war itself, during which he took part in his unit. “
