Tzadiki, David-Doron


Ben Esther and Mordechai. He was born on the 22nd of Adar 5733 (March 22, 1973) in Be’er Sheva. He is a son of a large family, observant of tradition and mitzvot. David was named after his brother, who fell in 1973 in his military service. The mother of the family was at the beginning of her pregnancy, and the family decided to commemorate David when they had a son. David-Doron grew up in Be’er Sheva. He studied at the “Amirim” elementary school and in the fifth high school in the electrical track. During his elementary school years, he participated in a judo class. He liked to help, support, and encourage those who needed support. David-Doron had a warm and loving relationship with all his family members. In the family home he set up a corner where he raised pigeons. He passed on this love to all his nephews. At the beginning of August 1991, David-Doron was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, completing basic training and being assigned to serve as an Air Force driver in a squadron at Hatzerim base, according to his commanders. To an outstanding soldier. Has shown high motivation and proven initiative. On 10.4.1994, during his time in office, David-Doron lost consciousness and was hospitalized at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva. He spent seven days fighting for his life until he passed away on the 16th of Iyar 5754 (April 16, 1994), and died at the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving his parents, eight sisters – Simcha, Mazal, Rina, Ziva, Ora and Shulamit, and four siblings – Haim, Yaakov, Yair and Gilad – were twenty-one years old. In a letter of condolence to the family, the unit’s commander wrote: “David Doron was a pleasant, quiet and modest man, and David-Doron was a model driver and did his job in the best possible way. In the memory of David-Doron, the family established a library in his memory, including books donated by the family, which were placed in the synagogue in the neighborhood where he grew up and studied. On Independence Day 1994, David-Doron was supposed to receive the Outstanding Soldier’s Medal.
