Twito, Shalom Ovadia
Ben Ziona and Hananiah. Born on November 21, 1972 in Be’er Sheva, the eldest son of his parents. He grew up in his hometown. His nickname for his family and friends was “Sharon.” He studied at the Beit Yaakov religious school until the fifth grade and then continued to study at the Be’er Sheva Yeshiva until the end of eighth grade. He graduated from the fifth high school and studied there until the tenth grade. In the 11th grade he moved to the Amal vocational school and studied electricity, as part of an apprenticeship program that included combined studies, completed his studies with a diploma, and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement. Shalom Ovadia was recruited for regular service in August 1991 and served in the Border Police for a period of one year and a month and attained the rank of corporal. Shalom Ovadia fell during his service on the 18th of Adar 5753 (18.3.1993) and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva. He left four parents – Haim, Yaakov, Yaniv and Rafael – and two sisters – Revital and Yamit.
