Son of Svetlana and Albert. He was born on July 26, 1972 in the USSR, a younger brother to Rita. He grew up in Kishinev, a nice, healthy baby who loved playing with toys, and at a very young age was interested in his toy cars, dismantled them and reassembled them. The family was fondly named Sheshenka. Alex was a diligent student, especially in mathematics. He completed high school studies at a college which trained practical engineers in planning, exploiting and repairing all types of cars manufactured in Russia. He graduated with honors from the college with a high school diploma. During his free time, Alex liked to spend time with friends, and engage in sports. He played football and basketball, one of his teenage girls was the Chicago Bulls basketball team, and after he made aliyah he became a fan of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa. Alex grew up in a Zionist family, and in the winter of 1990 the family managed to realize their dream and immigrate to Israel. They lived in Be’er Sheva. After studying Hebrew at the Ulpan in Kibbutz Hatzor, Alex studied at the Technion preparatory program and continued to study air-conditioning and electricity engineering at Ort Singalovski in Tel Aviv. In February 1995, Alex enlisted in the IDF. He was assigned to the Ordnance Corps, passed electrical and military courses and served in the workshop. Because he was a professional soldier and a caring person, he received warm recommendations from his commanders and went to an officers’ course. On his experiences in the course, he wrote: “Before I arrived at Bahad I, I was afraid I would not be able to cope with the staff I was in. Alex served for three years as an ordnance officer in the Givati ​​Brigade, where he began his regular service in August 1997. Alex loved the brigade and was “poisoned”, took part in many operational activities, including in Lebanon. To live with his family in Kiryat Gat, and in 1997 Alex met Julia, and in June 1998 the two married, and in February 1999 their son Lior was born, On the 20th of Sivan 5760 (June 20, 2000) Alex was killed in a road accident near Ofakim, aged twenty-eight, was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving behind a wife, son, parents and sister “Alex served in my unit as the armaments officer of the brigade and took over responsibility for hundreds of vehicles of the unit, Alex was loved by his soldiers and appreciated by his commanders, he excelled in his attitude He was warm to those around him and received the thanks of the reservists he treated.
