Tsukun, Haim


Son of Avraham and Soltina. He was born in Constantinople in Turkey in 1949. He immigrated to Israel in 1949. He worked in the army and was drafted into the IDF in October 1950. His parents were prepared to immigrate to Israel and live with their son, because because of the situation of Turkish Jews, There is no possibility of living there, but their hope of receiving support from their son was lost because he fell in the battle of Abu-Agila in Sinai on the 27th of March 1957. He was buried in the Military Cemetery at Shachal, and on the 28th of Tishrei 5718 (23.10.1957) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He left a wife and two children.
