Tshuva, Ephraim

Tshuva, Ephraim

Son of Shalom and Liora. He was born on the 19th of Sivan 5712 (19.6.1952) in Moshav Hatzav. He studied there in elementary school, and at the Be’er Tuvia high school. Ephraim was kind, kind and acceptable to people. He was always willing to help anyone. He was diligent and was interested in renovating his home and the fieldwork. He worked hard to have a nice porch for Father and to make the grass around the house green. At dusk, when darkness and light were mixed together, you could see Ephraim, after a day’s work, rummaging through the intestines of a tractor, loading the crates of vegetables ready for shipment. Ephraim had an innocent soul, and he would ask a lot of questions. He was the first in the field and the first in the input. Quiet and humble, he had an outstanding talent in any technical work. He loved the army with all his might, but his love of the village and agricultural work was no small part of it. He aspired to be a farmer when he completed his military service. Ephraim was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in May 1970, and like all other youth, he was on the first line of securing Israel’s freedom, and on the 26th of Sivan 5706 (26.6.1970) he fell in enemy shelling on the Golan Heights. In Moshav Hezav.
