Trostiansky, Vladimir (Wova)


Son of Yavgenia and Alexander, a brother to Constantine. He was born on November 4, 1982 in the city of Samara in Russia, where he grew up and was educated. A kind and kind child, a loving, loyal and devoted son who always helped his mother. Vladimir was a sporting boy. As a child he played basketball and raised weights and when he came to Israel he continued to work out in the gym. In his last years he did not engage in sports. Vladimir was involved in shooting from many years and even won a medal for his achievements in this field. When he was 15 years old, in 1997, the family immigrated to Israel and lived in Rehovot. Vladimir attended the ORT Junior High School and the WIZO Municipal Technical High School in August 2001. In August 2001, Vladimir was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Border Police, serving in the Gaza Strip as a combat soldier on January 14, 2004. Vladimir in operational activity at Erez checkpoint. That day, a good friend at the checkpoint was replaced and killed in the attack. The family members write: “Vladimir will always miss us, his family and all those who knew him … He was a good person, great and just charming, he loved to help, always was with his friends during the difficult moments. That he was, with a permanent smile on his face.
