Treiman, Zvi (Herbert)


Son of Degaubert and Lucia. He was born in 1923 in Germany, studied in high school and immigrated to Israel in 1940. He worked in the field of electricity and was a member of Kibbutz Eyal near Kfar Saba and in March 1947 he was sent by the Palmach to a naval training course in Tiberias. At the outbreak of the War of Independence, the city’s headquarters for the defense of Tiberias and its environs were surrounded by the army until May 1949. He fell in battle in Beit-Guvrin on October 12, 1949. He was brought to rest at home The Military Cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
