Son of Penny and Yitzhak, he was born on April 27, 1962 in Tel Hanan, near Haifa. David was the eldest son of his family, who immigrated from Morocco. He studied at the Givon Elementary School, continued to study in the junior high school and in the high school in Tel Hanan. David was active in the Gadna, and even underwent a course for squad commanders. Prior to joining the IDF, David was active in the Nesher cultural center as a youth counselor, and was devoted to creating cultural content for the youth at the site, and he was loved and admired by his circle of friends. In July 1980 David enlisted in the IDF, And served in the military police. In December 1980 he was sent to the MAZ course and after successfully completing the course he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. David was also sent to the Mets Investigators Course and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. During the Peace for Galilee War, David fulfilled his duties as a military policeman in Lebanon. He was stationed at the Military Government in Tire. On the 25th of Cheshvan 5743 (11.11.1982), a gas tank exploded in a government building and the building collapsed and buried dozens of soldiers. Among those killed was David. He was 20 years old when he died. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa. David left behind his parents, a sister and two brothers.
