Touboul, Aryeh
Aryeh, son of Keller and Jacques Touboul, was born on Kibbutz Mashavei Sadeh in 1966, to parents who immigrated to the kibbutz as pioneers in a training nucleus from France. He was named after the hero of Exodus. As a child, he had epilepsy but when he reached the time of his enlistment in May 1984, he insisted on joining the paratroopers. Aryeh loved army life very much and was proud of his unit. On 24 Tamuz, July 31, 1986, he fell in battle in Lebanon near the village of Majdal Zun in a clash with terrorists. Aryeh was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva. He was twenty years old when he fell. Survived by his parents, sister Hila and brother Uri.
