Topekian (Cohen), Yaakov
Son of Eliahu HaCohen and Aliza. He was born in 1950 in Abadan, Israel in 1958. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1958. In the first two years he lived in the Tel Aviv area and then moved to Kiryat Gat, where he studied at the Chizik Elementary School and the vocational high school in Kiryat Gat He specialized in automotive mechanics at the Ort vocational school in Ashkelon, and he loved his parents and had a devoted son, who devoted a great deal of time to his brothers and sisters and helped them at any time and at any time. He was drafted into the IDF in mid-November 1967 and served in the Ordnance Corps as a mechanic. Jacob loved his work and was a dedicated and diligent worker to the full satisfaction of all his superiors. He reached the rank of corporal and was loved by all his comrades in the army. After his discharge from the army he began working for a cargo company in Kiryat Gat, as a driver of a concrete mixer. On March 16, 1972, when he was in reserve duty, his car was taken to a mine in the Deir al-Amar area and he was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Gat cemetery.
