Topchik, Avraham-Yitzhak


He was born on 18.9.1930 in Lenin, Poland and immigrated to Israel in 1935. He completed his studies at the Tachkemoni School in Tel Aviv and later worked in a weaving factory. After the War of Independence he participated in the defense of Tirat Zvi and worked in a armored vehicle to secure the road from Sde Nahum to the castle, and he was a member of the Irgun during the underground period until his parents learned that they had urged him to leave the organization. Zvi, who later took part in the conquest of Zar’in, Sandela and Mukibla, and in an attack on Jenin, during which he was a machine gunner and encouraged his comrades to battle.
