Tokarev, Dmitri

Ben Tatiana Vyacheslav. He was born on the 16th of Cheshvan 5747 (16.11.1977) in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan. The eldest brother of Natasha. Dmitry attended elementary school No. 149 at his birthplace and continued his high school studies while working in the factory together with his father. After completing his studies, Dmitry received a technician’s certificate from industrial ventilation systems and worked in a work group of electricians. Dmitri was a disciplined and good-hearted boy who loved animals and was ready to help anyone in need. He was tied to his sister and protected her. Dmitry was a member of the Scout movement and of the Soviet Youth League. In his free time he enjoyed watching fictional films, listening to heavy rock music, playing soccer, riding a bike and playing chess. He was a nature lover – mountains and blue skies and loved to watch the stars. He also studied at the School of Painting and Sculpture and danced folk dances. Dmitri left behind many paintings of his own. In December 1994 he immigrated to Israel with his family, who lived in Dimona. Dmitry worked in the factory and in archeological work until his enlistment in the IDF in August 1998. He was trained in training and operating weapons, and he was a good-hearted man who helped many of his friends and was a disciplined and professional soldier. (18.4.1999). He was twenty-six years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Dimona. Survived by parents, a sister and a friend whom he wanted to marry. In his memory, it is written: “It is not acceptable to say bad things to the people, but to glorify the person in vain – it is a sin / and in a few lines that have been set aside here in his memory / I swear to tell the truth: / Behind a strong person who never refused to give help / And he believes that behind a man who was much of a back and consolation was an entity that only demanded warmth, peace, and love, he never caused evil or pain.
