Timer, Avner


Avner was born in Haifa on July 30, 1961, son of Edna (nee Shirizli – seventh generation in Israel) and Wald (who immigrated to Israel from Hungary in 1949). While in first grade, Avner moved with his family to Jerusalem and studied in various schools according to the family’s place of residence. He finished elementary school at Yad Lemoreh, in Ramat Eshkol. Avner’s aspiration and dream of becoming a veterinarian, and as a first step toward fulfilling this aspiration, he chose and was accepted to the Hebrew University High School. At the end of his first year of studies, Avner moved with his family to Neve Monosson and continued his studies at the Yehud High School. Avner was an outstanding student, yet Kondasen, a stunt and a healthy sense of humor, is involved in the social life of the school and the “Scouts” movement in the community.
