Tichon, Eyal Rafi
Eyal Rafi, Dalia and Yoram Tichon’s youngest son, was born in 1987 in Kiryat Motzkin. He was a good boy who never demanded anything for himself. After studying in Kiryat Motzkin, Eyal began his studies at the Korczak elementary school and later in the junior high school named after Yoni Netanyahu, where he studied science and was an outstanding student and succeeded in everything that touched him. At the school they loved him and praised him, and when his parents came to parents’ meetings, the teachers complimented their son when they asked them with a smile, “What did you come for?” Eyal joined the Armored Corps on November 27, 2005 and served in the 460th Brigade as a Merkava gunner. During his service, he was found to be a disciplined soldier, and with high abilities both in the personal and professional fields, and his commanders even designated him for training and officer training. Private Eyal fell during his service on April 16, 2006. He was eighteen and a half when he fell. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Tzur Shalom cemetery in Kiryat Motzkin. Survived by parents, brother – Gal and sister Anat.
