Tiar, Shmuel (“Molly”)


Son of Shabtai and Miri. Descendant of one of the oldest families in Israel. He was born on July 8, 1950 in Haifa. He studied elementary and high school studies at the Reali School in Haifa. He was a member of the Scouts movement (Shevat HaCarmel), both as an apprentice and as a guide. He was an outstanding trainee in the Gadna training course. He was active in the company and devoted much of his time and effort to socializing in his class, was interested in art, read books and loved to listen to classical music, and while he was a pupil he used to teach little students (From Wadi Salib residents) Shmuel was drafted into the IDF in August 1968. On April 24, 1969, he fell in battle with Ismailia, while he was wounded by an Egyptian sniper, bent down lest he be hit again, In the name of his friend in his usual cheerful voice, asking for help, his friends did everything to save him, but his wound was human and his hands were short of the savior Was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa, and after his fall the family received a letter from his friend to the position, who did not know Shmuel for a short while: “We called him and he came to us.
