Teyer, Mordechai (Moti)


Son of Haya and Zvi-Dov was born on March 15, 1964 in Jerusalem, completing eight classes at the “example” school in his hometown, and continued to study at Yeshiva for Young People, where he finished 12th grade. At the end of another year and a half of his studies at the Merkaz Harav Yeshiva, he enlisted in the IDF as part of the regular service of yeshiva students, who taught in November 1983. On August 23, 1984, Mordechai served with his unit in Yeruham. While his colleagues were at the briefing, was Mordechai Bahalo, close to the briefing. Suddenly Mann let out a bullet and Mordecai fell. He was 20 years old when he died. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Mordechai left behind his parents, two brothers and a sister. The commander of his unit wrote in a letter of condolence to his family: “Mordecai was devoted and faithful to his friends, reliable and acceptable to his commanders, who fulfilled his duties with love and devotion. His contribution to state security was, in his opinion, a supreme value “
