Teper, Abraham
Son of David. He was born in 1907 in the town of Bendary in Bessarabia. After immigrating to Palestine, he enlisted in the British Army and was assigned to the Pioneer Corps. Avraham Sharett in Egypt, fought in Greece, where he was captured by the Germans. He was released from captivity in early 1945 and continued to serve in the British army in Palestine. On September 30, 1945, on the eve of his release from the army, he was killed while standing guard at the Tel Litwinski military camp, in an attempt to break into it and was laid to rest in the Petah Tikva cemetery. He left a wife and two children.
