Teglicht, Yuval-Dov


Yuval-Dov ben Yosef and Margalit. He was born on the 7th of Tamuz, July 6th, 1957 in Jerusalem. In 1970-1971 he stayed with his family in London and studied there. Yuval was a clever and talented boy. He excelled in everything he did and was admired by the students’ society. After the Yom Kippur War, he and a group of his school friends formed the idea of ​​volunteering for the Nahal Brigade in order to serve in a combat unit and to take part in the settlement, thus rejecting the possibilities offered to him during the enlistment to serve in the Intelligence Corps and the IAF. Yuval was drafted into the IDF in September 1975. He successfully completed basic training and was well absorbed by the members of his unit. He was a responsible and mature soldier and was fully respected by his commanders. On the 8th of Iyar, May 8th, 1976, Yovel fell during army duty. HE was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, leaving behind his parents and two brothers.
