Son of Busna and Inow. He was born in Ethiopia on January 1, 1987. He had six brothers and three sisters, and Kobi immigrated to Israel with his family on January 24, 1991. He settled in Nesher, Yeshurun ”in Nesher, went on to the Kfar Hassidim Youth Village for one year and then moved to the youth village boarding school of WIZO Nahalat Yehuda in Rishon Letzion. Kobi loved to engage in sports, among other things played basketball. At leisure he surfed the Internet. At his parents’ house he helped clean and wash the house, buy food and whatever was needed. He also took care of his parents and used to accompany them to the National Insurance Institute, the Bank and other institutions where they were required to handle their affairs. “He was our candle,” his parents say about him. Kobi loved people and respected others, always welcomed his friends and guests. Upon completion of his studies, he joined the Engineering Corps on August 1, 2005, armed with a strong desire and motivation to make a significant contribution to his military service and to leave his unique mark. When he enlisted in combat engineering, he set himself the goal of getting as far as possible, up the ranks, and he did put all his energies into it. In February 2006, he completed a tractor driving course at the School of Combat Engineering, from the Mechanical Engineering Equipment Section, with a grade of 100, and at the same time completed the course of the 07 Kadima cadets with high grades. The course lasted two months and at the end of the course Kobi was assigned to the unit and served for six months at the Judea and Samaria Regional Division Commanding Unit. 2006) during his military service at the age of 19.
