Tartner, Gershon


Son of Avraham and Rivka. Born in the town of Schraunstein in Germany on January 31, 1948, Gershon immigrated to Israel in 1950. Gershon immigrated to Israel with his parents and began his studies at the Tachkemoni elementary school in Hadera, where he studied football, volleyball and basketball. After completing his studies, he decided to work in the printing industry and in his profession he worked until his induction, and was quiet by nature, not much about his civilian life and later his military life. As an outstanding athlete and as a good soldier, he was offered the opportunity to go to a course for sports instructors, but he claimed that as a civilian he would deal with his civilian life and chose to go to a military training course when he was in the army, because in his opinion this was more important.
