Targano, Nissim


Son of Aliza and Moshe, was born on October 17, 1930 in the city of Barcelona, ​​Spain. When he was 14, Nissim immigrated to Israel with the immigrants from Niassa, who were sent with the help of the Joint and arrived on February 1, 1944. Nissim joined the Lehi underground and when he enlisted in the army he served in the 8th Battalion’s commando battalion and participated in the conquest of Lod and Ramle, in the battle for Iraq-Suidan, etc. Nissim fell in Uja al-Hafir on the 24th of Kislav, December 26, 1948. The tank he was in was damaged; he jumped out of it but his eyes were hurt, and he ran, by mistake, toward the position of the Arabs who killed him. . On the 20th of Tammuz 5709, July 20, 1949, he was laid to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
