Taos, Abraham (‘Avri’)


Son of Ferdinand (David) and Sarah. He was born on the 19th of Elul 5716 (19.8.1956) in Haifa. The family lived in Kiryat Yam near the port city. He studied at the Alumim elementary school for eight years. Afterward, he enrolled at Rodman School in Kiryat Yam, where he studied for four years in the electric-motors profession. During his studies, Avri took part in a training course for battalion commanders in the Gadna. He was active in sports – soccer and basketball. In his spare time, he used to help his father in his carpentry shop. All he did, seriously and thoroughly did. Nevertheless, he lived a cheerful and full social life.
