Born on December 8, 1967 in Mitzpeh Ramon, the eldest son of a family of four, his parents named him Ron, after reading about a family that had lost her only son, Ron, who spent his first years in Mitzpeh Ramon. When Ron was seven years old, his parents moved to Moshav Amikam, in the northern Sharon, where he studied at the elementary school in Pardes Hanna, and in the junior high school in Pardes Hannah, where he continued his studies at the ORT Shomron High School in Binyamina. He was an independent boy who did whatever he chose to do, was a naughty boy, very cheerful, busy with a lot of activity Who loved them all over the school, especially liked the sea, windsurfing and at the end of 10th grade went to an amateur rescuers course at Kibbutz Sdot Yam and loved to ski in the snow on Mount Hermon, and according to his mother he loved everything that was the strength of the movement Prior to his enlistment in the IDF, Ron was summoned to air-force tests. Ron was drafted into the army in mid-February 1986. He was stationed in the infantry and sent to the Givati ​​Brigade. He completed a basic training course in infantry and a course for armored personnel carriers, and at the end of his basic training, he applied for a pilot’s service, and Ron wrote: “I want to take full advantage of my potential. “Ron was taken to the air-force tests but eventually stayed in the Givati ​​Brigade, where he went to the Infantry Corps Commanding Course, received the rank of Corporal and went with his unit to activities in Lebanon. His commander at the time wrote that Ron’s ability to give himself to others, with good advice, in a friendly conversation and in deeds, was a thing of the unit. In the summer of 1987 Ron asked for an agricultural holiday. Most of the family’s livelihood consisted of processing vineyards for food and wine. It was important for Ron to be a partner to his parents during the harvest season. On the 17th of Kislev 5748 (8 December 1987) he fell in battle in Lebanon. Ron was injured when the vehicle he was traveling in was hit by a landmine, followed by two parents, Galit and Shiri, and brother Shahaf, in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family. As a squad commander, he was a subject of admiration and admiration for his soldiers. “Ron’s commander wrote to his family:” Ron was all of us, commanders and soldiers, an example and a symbol. Intelligent, with excellent operational ability and initiative. Ron’s family published a memorial booklet in his memory: “Ron was not a smart student, he did not write songs, nor did he write melodies, and he did not draw a painter. / He had a great smile, he had animals in his eyes. / A strong shoulder, a word for everyone and an energy for two. / Ron knew how to support those who needed it.
