Tamir, Erez

Erez, son of Dana and Aryeh Tamir, was born in 1969 in Haifa. At the end of March 1988, Erez was drafted into a military training course, was accepted to the course and reached the end of the fourth stage of five stages. In a head-on collision, Erez was critically wounded in the head. He spent two weeks unconscious in the Head Injuries Department at Rambam Hospital and died on July 7, 1989. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Neve Hadar. Survived by his parents, two brothers – Omri and Itamar and a sister – Daniel. After his death, Erez was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel.
