Tam, David (Levy)


David, son of Batya and Chaim, Tam (Levy), was born on January 23, 1928, in Tel Aviv. His father died in a work accident when he was a few weeks. Due to difficult living conditions he was forced to stop his studies at a young age. David was able to entertain his friends with his singing and he joined the “Hanoar Haoved” training program at Tel Hai and spent two years there and then decided to return to the group and became more involved in it. During the War of Independence, David joined the Palmach, was transferred to the service area of ​​Jerusalem and the Castel region. He encountered Arab forces and he fell in battle on the 14th of Shevat, January 25, 1948. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
