Tahouho, Aslan


The son of Lamia and Abed Hamid. Aslan was born on 1 December 1975 in Kfar Kama in the north, east of Kfar Tavor. Brother of Shuki, Azmi and Lusian. Aslan grew up and was educated in Kfar Kama. His family is known in the village, and in the entire Circassian community, as a traditional and conservative family that educates its sons for the love of the land and the homeland, the love of the land and the respect of others. After graduating from elementary school, he went on to high school, and completed his studies at the comprehensive high school in Afula. Throughout his studies, Aslan was a diligent, quiet and sociable student who loved his studies and his teachers and was accepted and loved by everyone. As a boy who loved to study and study, he had good achievements in his studies, and his teachers always praised his abilities and skills, such as in elementary school and high school. Aslan was a boy and a boy full of energy and joie de vivre, who knew how to combine well between studies and games. Quiet, courteous and kind, with many friends and lovers. After completing his high school studies, Aslan was drafted into the IDF, and on 23.3.1994 he enlisted and asked to be a combat soldier, according to his family tradition and the Circassian community. After completing the course he returned to the battalion and became a combat medic. Aslan served most of the time in Lebanon, in the area of ​​Bint Jbeil in the south of the country, where the battalion held the security zone line since the First Lebanon War (1982). His commander said: “Aslan was a soldier beloved and admired by his friends and commanders, an outstanding soldier and a professional and dedicated fighter.” During his service Aslan progressed to the rank of sergeant. Aslan was killed at the “Baarashit” post in south Lebanon on August 6, 1996. That same day, the outpost, one of the battalion’s front posts, was heavily bombed by Hezbollah units. During the shelling, Aslan showed great courage in participating in the rescue and treatment of the injured under fire. During a rescue operation, he was hit by a shell and killed on the spot. Aslan was twenty-one when he fell. The family, the village and the entire Circassian community were shocked by the bad news, and the day after his death they brought him to rest in the cemetery in Kfar Kama, where he lives. Survived by parents, two brothers and a sister. After his fall, Aslan was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant
