Tahan, Meir (Monir)


Son of Salah and Naima, a traditional religious family. Born on December 3, 1932 in Baghdad, capital of Iraq, he completed his studies in a Jewish school in his city and received training in Zionism, and because of his lack of means he was forced to stop his studies and worked as a jeweler. His family and his family, and immigrated to Israel, despite the many hardships caused to the immigrants, and when he arrived in Israel, he went on the way to agricultural settlement in Kibbutz Ramat David. In the course of his duties, on the 28th of Mershvan, 16.11.1952, he fell and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
