Tabakaro, Leon (“Nashu”)

Leon, son of Tuvia and Sabina Tabakaro, was born in the city of Iasi, Romania, on April 24, 1947. The family immigrated to Israel in 1964. He was drafted into the IDF in February 1966 and was on regular service when the Six-Day War broke out. On the second day of her battles, on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), he fell while serving in Rosh Pina. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa.
