Tabak, Moshe


Son of Tova and Kalman, was born on February 10, 1925, in Krasnobrod, Poland. During the Second World War he was in Ukraine and after the war began wandering. He arrived in Austria where he joined Betar and received training in order to immigrate to Eretz Israel, where he joined the ranks of the Irgun, where he spent all his time and energy preparing for the loading of the Etelena. On the 17th of Tammuz 5707 (17.7.1948), he took part in his last battle on Tel Azzayat, on the northern border, where he joined the “Oded” , Which the Syrian army took over. The conquest of the mound did not take much effort, but the Syrians decided to take it back at any cost and put many forces in the battle, armed with cannons, mortars and machine guns, and after four incursions causing many casualties to our forces, the Syrians occupied the hill. Among those killed in the battle was Moshe. He was buried in the cemetery in the city of Bashar. Two years later he was put to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa
