Ben Shoshana and Lazar (Eli). He was born on January 24, 1970 in Haifa. Menahem studied at the elementary school in Menahemia, in the Neve Shaanan Middle School in Haifa and at the Amal High School in the literary track. At the beginning of August 1988, Menahem was conscripted into the IDF and was assigned to the elite unit Duchifat. Menachem completed a long and difficult basic training and continued his combat course in a special course of his unit. According to his commander, Menahem was the most prominent of the company’s soldiers in his ability to lead and was exceptionally fit. On April 29, 1989, Menachem fell during his service. He was critically wounded in a road accident while on vacation from his unit. He was brought to Rambam Hospital in Haifa as quickly as possible, and Menachem was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa, where he was followed by his parents, Menahem demonstrated great independence as a soldier, showed friends to his friends and was very loved by them. It was a common sight to see him carry his friends and sometimes their equipment, while encouraging and always maintaining a high morale. “
