Swede, David

Son of Naim and Haviva. He was born on July 21, 1940 in Basra, Iraq. He immigrated to Palestine in 1944 by land. He finished sixth grade at the high school in Beit Hakerem. He was a soldier in the State of Israel and was then five to six years old, before the establishment of the State of Israel, and was drafted into the IDF in August 1958. On the 27th Iyar, (4.6.1959) was sent on a tour around Nitzana and owned a car on a mine. In the course of this mission, he fell and was brought to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
