Sushkis, Aryeh

Son of Yehoshua and Yehudit, members of Nir David. He was born on the 28th of Tammuz 5708 (28.7.1948) in the kibbutz. From childhood, his eyes were inquiring and inquiring in order to know everything, and over time he had excelled in his cleverness and knowledge. He graduated from elementary school at Nir David School. There he was quick-paced, sharply articulated. His dynamism and friendship stood out in his games and in the organization of social games and his friends loved him. Afterward, he studied at the Beit Alfa high school until he completed his studies there. He deepened his mind and as he matured he expanded his horizons. He was an outstanding student and was talented and thirstily drank all the information his teachers had given him. He loved his home, his kibbutz, and his parents’ home was very precious to him. Even when he was in ninth grade, he clung to the orchard and was willing to devote his devotion and strength to him. After being recruited, he was offered several times to join the air force, but he did not like it because he wanted to be accepted into a special unit in the navy. He did his best, but it did not succeed, and Aryeh joined the Armored Corps with great maturity and seriousness. Over time, he called the unit very much and became a dedicated tank driver who gave joy and confidence to all around him. In the days of tension and alertness of the Six-Day War, Aryeh was sure of our victory in case there was a need to fight. On the first day of the battles, on the first day of the battles, on 26 June 1967, the tanks were caught in a battle that took place in El Giridi and Aryeh Fell. During the difficult battles, Aryeh knew how to encourage his comrades, to help the injured comrades, and did whatever he could for the war and for his comrades-in-arms. He was buried in the emergency military cemetery in Bari and was later taken to rest in the cemetery in his kibbutz. The kibbutz leaflet was dedicated to Aryeh, in which the description of the battle in al-Jirdi was presented. A booklet in his memory bearing his name was published by Kibbutz Nir David. In the booklet 53 of them, which was published by the Kibbutz Artzi in memory of its fallen comrades, its history was brought. His estate was also published in “Goily Ash”, Volume 4, which is the Yalkut of the sons of the fallen soldiers in Israel.
